Auburn-Cord Duesenberg Festival

byEarl E. Gibson

If you like old classic cars, then this is a must see. This festival takes place every Labor Day weekend in the small town of Auburn, Indiana. There is a parade of old Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg automobiles. After the parade the cars are parked around the town square area of downtown Auburn. The streets are blocked off and you can roam around and view these amazing automobiles up close. I have seen vehicle owners nearby if you have questions about their cars.

The Auburn Auctions at both World-wide Auctioneers and RM Auctions take place over this same holiday weekend. So as you can see, there is plenty to see and do for everyone. There are also numerous events taking place around town during this time. The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum is in Auburn as well as the National Automotive and Truck Museum and the Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum. So this is a car enthusiasts location.

If you love photographing old cars, as I do, this is the place for you. Once you visit, you will come back. Enjoyable atmosphere, friendly people and great cars. How could you go wrong?
